The Meatball


Ingredients (4 portions)

ca 600g minced meat

1 egg

1 pkg Feta

ca 50g black olives 1 onion 2 garlic gloves salt, pepper



ca 300g Tomatoes

250ml cream

fresh herbs

salt, pepper



  First of all we will chop the onion and the garlic and sauté them in a pan. Meanwhile we also chop the feta and the olives. After that we can mix up everything with the minced meat and the egg and put the mixture into the fridge for around 15 min.  

While the meat is in the fridge we can blanch the tomatoes in hot water. After that we put them into a pan with some water and cook them at medium heat until they become soft.  

Now we can form some bigger meatballs (like a tennis ball) which we will put into the oven at around 180°C. If you like it a bit more crispy you can roll the meatballs in panko flour and finish them with the air fryer.  

To finish the tomato foam we will put the cooked tomatoes together with the cream, fresh herbs, salt and pepper into the food processor and mash it to a tomato sauce. Bring the sauce to boil again and pour it into your Isi through a colander.   

Serve the meatball on top of some fried potato chips within a bowl and fill it with the tomato foam.
