Mühlviertler Chili gratinated with cheese

Mühlviertler Chili

Effort: medium

4 slices of stale bread

1 kohlrabi

250 g minced meat

1 onion

3 garlic cloves

1 tomato

200 ml coconut cream

salt, pepper, cinnamon, nutmeg

1 chilipepper

Preparation (4 portions)

This time I decided for a fusion dish again. The influences are mexican for the chili, austrian in form of a bread soup and some asian flavors

First we have to slice the kohlrabi into 1×1 cm pieces and chop the onion as well as the garlic cloves. All three of those ingredients are now browned within a big pan or a pot. After that you can add the diced bread. As soon as the bread is browned from all sides you can add the meat and a bit of salt and pepper.

After the meat is cooked you can deglaze with the coconut cream and a cup of water. The mixture has to cook for 30 minutes now. Then add the rest of the spices and herbs. Season the chili again with salt and pepper and you are ready to serve.

For a better look you can put the chili into cups and gratinate it with some cheese.

Enjoy it 🙂 !
